Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes is also among the two the youngest Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July 1971. Alison is an American bluegrass singer and country musician. She entered the music industry as a young girl, having won local competitions at the age of 10, and recording for the first time when she was 14 years old. She signed to Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. The album was also a part of the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she continues to perform. Later, in 1989 her debut solo album was released in conjunction with the band.
