Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. She was the first gymnast from the United States to ever win four gold medals in one Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to have won consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles as well as her twins Adria and Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents from Houston. Simone became interested in gymnastics when she was just six when she took a field trip for day care in Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for eleven years under the guidance of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles, who won the gold and bronze medals in the women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 in vault and floor exercise before her debut in 2011 at the top category of the competition. In less than two years, she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles stood out by her consistent performance, her exuberant attitude and the level of difficulty that she included every event - vault bar, uneven bars, balance beam and ground exercises.
